Welcome to La Linea
La Linea isn’t just a barbershop—it’s a cultural hub rooted in the rich history and pride of Southeast LA. Built on the foundation of family, art, and community, we offer more than just haircuts. We provide a space where creativity thrives, connections grow, and accessibility matters.
Founded in the same building where my mother opened her salon over 35 years ago, La Linea represents generations of craftsmanship and care. With affordable, high-quality services—$30 cuts, $15 for seniors, and our Unlimited Club at just $70/month—we ensure that grooming and self-care are accessible to everyone.
But our mission goes beyond the chair. Every cut supports free art workshops, community events, and experiences that bring the best of culture to our neighborhood—because we believe our community deserves the good stuff right here at home.
Join us at La Linea, where art, style, and business come together to shape a future as sharp as our cuts.

Our Story
La Linea isn’t just a barbershop—it’s a cultural hub rooted in community, creativity, and accessibility.
Over 35 years ago, my mother opened her salon in the same building where La Linea now stands. What started as a family business has transformed into a space that blends barbering, art, and social entrepreneurship—serving as both a gathering place and a movement.
Before La Linea, I spent 16 years in the music industry, working on Grammy-winning projects and major film campaigns. But when the pandemic hit and later the writer’s strike, I had a realization: I was creating things I loved, but I wasn’t creating change where it mattered most—my own community in Southeast LA. My mother asked me to help her build a barbershop to rent chairs, but I saw an opportunity to do something bigger.
La Linea was built with a mission: to bring the “good shit” to our community, rather than our community always having to leave to find it.
Through thoughtful design, accessible pricing, and a commitment to the arts, we provide premium services to our community at fair prices that keeps all in mind. Our $15 senior discounts, $30 standard cuts, and unlimited haircut membership make grooming high-quality yet affordable. But La Linea is more than just hair—we reinvest our revenue into free art classes, cultural events, and collaborations that bring inspiration to Southeast LA.
Because we believe that our community shouldn’t have to travel far for creativity, culture, and connection. We’re building it right here.

Goal One: Client-Centered Excellence
Continuously enhance the quality of our grooming and styling services, through continuous education and development. Creating an environment of professionalism by staff that keeps the local community in mind.
Goal Two: Artistic Enrichment
We strive to be the hub for artistic expression in the community. We are committed to hosting art events, exhibitions, and classes every Sunday drawing on local and national artists’ talents (of all disciplines) and providing a platform for their work.
Goal Three: Cultural Collaboration
We will focus on collaborations with local cultural organizations, artists, and community leaders to host a series of cross-cultural events and initiatives throughout the year. We aim to diversify the cultural experiences within the neighborhood by participating in cultural collaborations in and around our community.
